Claws Mail on Mac OS X

As some of you may know, I built some versions of Claws Mail for Mac OS X. However I didn't keep them up-to-date with the latest Claws version, nor the latest Mac OS X versions, shame on me !

However I had good reasons, and when you'll see the next version that I'm currently trying to build, you'll see why...

So stay tuned !

What is it about Claws that makes it mighty? I'm not thrilled by Mail at this juncture and looking for alternatives asside from t-bird or MS's unfortunate, bloat ridden, Entourage. What are the best things about Claws that makes you want to port it to OS X?

Claws is made for average to power users. It offers a lot of features, and is really highly configurable. One of the immediate benefit when using it (before any tweaking), is the speed and responsiveness, and the dramatically low bandwidth usage. From Claws webpage :

Quick response
Graceful, and sophisticated interface
Easy configuration, intuitive operation
Abundant features
Extensibility
Robustness and stability
