Since last November I didn't had a blog any more. But now I'm back!
After 2½ years of blogging I lost the interest and the server, so I stopped telling you about my Gentoo activities. But somehow I really liked to show some neat Gentoo tricks or tell about the newest stuff from the PowerPC-land or just collect and write down my thoughts about the project.
Some days ago Steve Dibb, who maintains planet gentoo deleted my old blog, as it resulted a 404 only – and he asked if I want to have a dedicated blog by Gentoo.
Now, for everybody in planet gentoo, who never read something from me, let me introduce with some words:
I'm still a student in Mechatronics, live in Krefeld (Germany), although I'm quite often in Cologne, 27 years old, Gentoo developer since March 2003. Currently I'm the tactical lead of the PowerPC-team (ppc32) and also the guy who produces the ppc32-release stuff. Then I'm a trustee in the Gentoo Foundation and one of the maintainers of our CVS/SVN-server. Furthermore I keep an eye on the cdrtool-stuff and some packages around, as well as on several German packages like ‘selfthml’ or ‘g-brief’.
As the 2006.1-release is in preparation, you can guess about which topic I will post during the next time. TODO for tonight: Fix genkernel for 2.6.17 on the Pegasos.
